Kristin Strohm is the President & CEO of Common Sense Institute (CSI). Strohm was an original co-founder of CSI, and for almost a decade, she served as a strategic advisor to the institute until taking a full-time leadership role as President & CEO in 2019. Under her leadership CSI has grown by over $4M in revenue and launched three new state chapters.

Kristin has been honored by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women, the Denver Business Journal’s Forty under 40, andelected as one of ColoradoBiz Magazine’s Top 50 Most Influential Young Professionals. In 2016, she received the Ally Award from the pro-LGTBQ organization One Colorado in recognition of her work in support of gay rights. 

Kristin has been honored to serve as a board member for a number of organizations, including Coe College, Women’s Bean Project, Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Kristin was also in the founding class of American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network. She is currently Board Chairman of the Strohm-Link Family Foundation.

Kristin studied history and Spanish at Coe College and later earned an M.B.A. from the University of Denver. Kristin and her husband Josh Penry currently make their home in the Phoenix area with their four children.
