Thanksgiving Inflation

How Rising Costs Hit Thanksgiving Meals

In their annual survey, the national Farm Bureau reported the price tag on Thanksgiving dinner for Americans has dropped for the second year in a row. The cost of feeding 10 people on Thanksgiving declined 5% to $58.08.

While overall inflation has slowed, Coloradans continue to face elevated costs. This year’s meal is still 19% higher than it was just 5 years ago. It comes at a time the average Colorado household is spending over $1,335 more per month due to overall inflation than they did in 2020.

The same survey shows that Coloradans face the 4th highest Thanksgiving meal cost of any state, costing 23.6% more than the national average.
